Barilla oven-ready lasagna noodles
1 cup
mozzarella cheese, shredded (for topping)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet, cook ground beef or Italian sausage over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add diced onion, garlic, and Italian seasoning. Cook until onion is soft.
Stir in Barilla marinara sauce and simmer for 15 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, and black pepper.
In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce.
Layer 4 oven-ready lasagna noodles over the sauce.
Spread 1/3 of the ricotta mixture over noodles, followed by 1/3 of the meat sauce.
Repeat layers two more times, finishing with remaining meat sauce.
Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella cheese on top.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
Let lasagna rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add fresh basil between the layers. Serve with a side of garlic bread and a fresh salad for a complete meal.
